Peak Recovery is a program of the Alano Club of Portland, a leading source of recovery support in our community for over 60 years.

In addition to over 100 weekly mutual aid support meetings, the Alano Club offers other recovery resources, like weekly recovery yoga and mindful meditation classes, monthly seminars on topics like brain chemistry and addiction and relationships and recovery, and regular workshops on topics ranging from recovery advocacy to mindful-based relapse prevention. The Alano Club also hosts large-scale sober social events, like our Recovery Art Walk, Recovery Talent Show and holiday community dinners.


Program Partners

The Mazamas is a nonprofit mountaineering education organization offering over 700 hikes and 350 climbs annually.


Guided Exposure was founded to inspire individuals to challenge themselves, to progress, and to succeed in the most spectacular mountain environments.


Mountain Savvy is a provider of avalanche safety courses in the Northwest.

One, two, three and four-day courses consisting of video presentations, interactive discussion and hands-on field training with state-of-the-art snow rescue equipment. Participants learn to read the clues of snowpack, weather and terrain; evaluate hazard and assess risk; Participate in beacon searches; Analyze and test snow stability; Participate in search & rescue scenarios.


NOLS is a nonprofit global wilderness school that seeks to help you step forward boldly as a leader.

We believe that anyone can be a leader; it’s our role to provide the environment and training to help you discover your full potential. We do that in classrooms close to home and in remote wilderness areas around the world.


Pacific Wilds aims to empower people to be helpers in this world through trainings that are top notch, inclusive, and deeply empowering. Currently we are running NOLS Wilderness Medicine trainings at our home in Mt Hood Oregon and around the Pacific Northwest and Hawai’i. Come join us or reach out if you’re interested. We can also bring a course to your organization or school. Courses are taught by Renee and/or the best of the best instructors at NOLS Wilderness Medicine.


The Recovery Gym (TRG) is every bit as much stigma-busting initiative as it is next-generation, hybrid recovery organization and butt-kicking Functional Fitness, strength training and endurance gym.
